Halsyar Capital
This city of the red sea houses often remembered by the wistful and dark lights and colors of its stained and slightly discolored buildings. This is where the main story takes place in.
The Red Sea
Located at south of the capital, the red sea is only seen in Knyght's character development arc. It is shown during Knyght's character arc that the Red Sea, only at midnight because there is nothing to distract it, silently bellow all of its suffering into the world. As more waves violently overlap on each other, it becomes murkier and cloudy. It is an endless cycle that repeats until dawn shines on it, something Knyght does not do to accommodate his own suffering.
To the citizens of Halsyar, not much of its existence has been solved, when the red water is brought out of its home, it becomes clear and blends in with the rest of Earth's water located outside of Halsyar. Bringing the water back to the confines of its home reverts to its inhabitated color once again. The Red Sea should stay where it belongs and should not be brought elsewhere. When Knyght's character development is completed, the water finally quells at midnight, from there on, it is left alone from the main story.
"Let the past stay in the past."
Customs: The Symbol of Native Grass
Halsyar has incorporated patterned layered coats into its culture and has an old tradition of interpreting its native grass as a symbol of perpetual struggle. The old tradition views that, the grass, despite always being naturally able to withstand the cold, will never be able to avoid the cold, concluding that no matter how much hardship is endured, it will remain constantly suffering with no escape.
However, there are a lot of new reinterpretations of the symbol of its native grass. People have reimagined it as the symbol of resilience and adaptability in adversity. The grass’ persistence to survive is a testament of the indomitable spirit to thrive despite harsh realities. It’s often seen as fostering an accepting attitude to the imperfect life cycle but some differ and have unique variations of this belief. Halsyans often display their ideals through keeping a lock of grass as personal talismans, different dyes and patterns are used to show different beliefs, people often share their meanings of different symbols they draw onto it as a small way of bonding.
The act of exchanging or gifting locks of grass are used to mark a deep significant moment in platonic or romantic relationships. Earning one means officially declaring the existence of an extremely deep bond with the person, most people hold onto it like bookmarks or somewhere safe.
